Here are some pictures of French cars. The majority of them tend to be small, hatchback type cars. You do see some bigger ones like wagons and larger four doors, but not as often. The French have to have small cars because almost everywhere is parallel parking in the city. Sometimes there aren’t individual parallel parking spots and it is just one long rectangle box and it’s just for however many cars you can fit.  Very often we see cars that gets to close to others and we aren’t sure how the middle one is going to get out.  Sometimes the parallel parking rectangle is half on the road and half on the curb so you have to parallel park and get up on the curb. Our housing agent, Frank, who has been showing us apartments says that if you “nudge” the other cars when pulling out you don’t have to call the police because it happens all the time. We only have our rental car for 10 more days so Michael is frantically trying to find us sometime that isn’t totally ugly and small like most of the ones in the pictures. I kind of wanted a Mini Cooper but the guys at Michael’s work said they were uncomfortable and small. Maybe not so good for when we travel. Michael is looking at Audi A3’s, BMW 118D’s, Renault Megane’s, and Peugoet 308’s.  We didn’t get any pictures of any of these. I guess no one who lives near us has cool cars…
