The other week Michael, Brooklyn, and I were walking through the mall looking at the winter clothes. We were in C&A and I saw a really cute sequined owl shirt.
I say to Michael, “Let’s get this for Brooklyn. It will go great with her black equestrian riding pants.” So I ask Brooklyn, “Do you like this shirt?” She nods her head yes.
Michael says, “I’ll bet she likes anything you show her.”
I say to Michael, “No she doesn’t.”
He points at an ugly purple sweater and says to Brooklyn, “Do you like this one?”
Brooklyn looks at it and says, “No.”
That’s my girl! My little girl has good taste. I just hope it stays that way when she starts telling me what she wants to wear.
When did your kids start telling you what they wanted to wear?
